International aspects of monetary policy
Summary
Several imponderables are faced when implementing monetary policy in a small, open economy such as Switzerland. A major problem is to take adequate account of economic influences from abroad. The future implications which the introduction of the euro will have for the Swiss economy are in principle simply a new form of expression of the same problem.
