Dewet Moser, Alternate Member of the Governing Board, Zurich
Dewet Moser, born in 1960, holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Basel, Switzerland. He joined the Swiss National Bank in Zurich in 1986 as a Research Assistant. From 1990 to 1991, he held a research position at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in the US. From 1992, he headed the Monetary Operations advisory function at the SNB. From 1997 on, he was responsible for the establishment and leadership of the Risk Management function at the SNB.
In December 2006, he was appointed Alternate Member of the Governing Board by the Swiss Federal Council. In this position, Dewet Moser has headed the Financial Markets function of the SNB since May 2007 (including implementation of monetary policy, money market and foreign exchange, gold operations, asset management and financial market analysis / investment strategy).
Dewet Moser has four children.
