Monetary policy for 2009/2010
The Swiss National Bank publishes its monetary policy assessments on a quarterly basis – in March, June, September and December. In these reports it describes the current monetary environment and formulates its monetary policy intentions in the following quarter. The 'Monetary policy report' and the 'Economic situation from the vantage point of the delegates for regional economic relations' are published about two weeks after each monetary policy assessment. These reports are later reprinted in the 'Quarterly Bulletin'.
Furthermore, twice a year – in June and in December – the Swiss National Bank holds a media conference. At these media conferences, the Governing Board provides information about the economic situation and comments the National Bank's monetary policy. The texts of these media conferences may be found under the heading Media, item Speeches.
